Copyright infringement online getting completely out of control

When I hear a room full of respected lawyers say things like, “it's like trying to empty the ocean with a pail” you know the situation about copyright infringement online has gotten completely out of control. There will be people in your show tonight either snapping a quick photo or recording pieces of your production with their phone and posting it on YouTube or sharing with their friends online.

At an industry event for the Association of National Advertiser's Law and Business Affairs one lawyer said the key question you must address is, "how much [infringement] can you take before you have to do something? And then, what do you want to do?" He then added, "The first step is to make sure it's not your people doing it, which I found out the hard way is sometimes the case."

We are keeping a close eye on it and we recommend you do the same.
